Schubert Schloss Atzenbrugg

The enchanting Atzenbrugg Castle and its park provided Franz Schubert (1797–1828) and his circle of friends with an idyllic setting for making music together and socializing during the months of July from 1820 to 1822, and likely also in 1823. Today, this historic site welcomes guests of all ages and invites them to follow in Schubert’s footsteps. The castle and the exhibition on display there allow visitors to immerse themselves in Schubert’s world and encourage them to discover or rediscover the life and work of this great composer. Across 600 m², visitors can explore Franz Schubert—the man and the artist—in all his facets, accompanied by interactive elements; listening stations featuring selected musical pieces offer a deeper musical experience.
